The NSEL Testing Floor covers a 50′ x 130′ area, with a 16′ reinforced concrete box girder infrastructure. The floor also acts as an effective reaction structure for the L-shaped wall, and it is being used to support the 10, 20 and 40T cranes with and operative height of 30′. The floor offers anchoring points throughout its surface on a 36″ grid spacing, allowing the installation of single actuators with a wide array of testing fixtures and systems.
The testing floor can be accessed through 2 full-size garage doors, allowing through access to 53′ flatbeds trailers, concrete trucks, and mobile cranes. Specialized equipment is available to support the laboratory operations.
