Testing Services
NSEL is not only available to the Department of Civil and Environmental Engineering but also to other universities, research and forensic laboratories, manufacturers, engineering firms, and construction companies. Multiple service contracts and partnerships are available to fit your testing and research needs.
Services include:
- Compression, tension, flexural, and shear material characterization (destructive and non-destructive).
- Multiaxial and uniaxial loading up to 600 kips dynamically and 3,000 kips monotonically.
- Testing of ceramics, concrete, reinforced composites, metals, alloys, wood, polymers, and elastomers.
- Dynamic and cyclic testing of large-scale structural systems.
- Calibration of load and displacement sensing devices.
